Using a hot water underfloor heating system paired with a renewable energy heat pump is a winning combination; it gives an even, controllable heat across the entire floor area, reduces your carbon footprint, and keeps the running costs to a minimum.
Mitsubishi Electric is known throughout the world for providing reliable, high-quality products for both domestic and commercial clients. In 2010, a range of products specifically designed for hot water underfloor heating systems was launched. Following the company’s Green Gateway philosophy, which works to find ways of reducing consumption and minimising carbon emissions, award winning Mitsubishi Ecodan Heat Pumps are perfect for the UK market. They are suitable for any size of space, from one-bedroom flats to large commercial buildings.
How do Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pumps Work?
Mitsubishi Heat Pumps extract natural solar energy from the air (air source) or from the ground (ground source) to generate domestic heating, typically transferring more than twice the amount of energy into a property than it uses to extract it from the air or ground. This is particularly useful if your property is off-grid!
Mitsubishi Heat Pumps are at their most efficient when operating at lower temperatures, making this technology ideal for teaming with wet underfloor heating, which operates at a much lower temperature than radiators.
Benefits of Mitsubishi Heat Pumps
The benefits are easy to see:
- Self-contained unit only requiring water and electric connections; there is no need for gas supply, flues, ventilation etc. - Operates with outside temperatures as low as -20ºC - Available as a stand-alone or complete packaged system - Recognised by the Noise Abatement Society for industry leading low noise levels
As an added bonus, if you meet the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme criteria, you can also receive additional payments to offset the initial cost of installation. Call our friendly team if you need any guidance or support, including ongoing follow up advice.
