My participation in the UFH industry began in 2020. It soon became apparent to me just how vastly more energy efficient underfloor heating is compared to other methods. This allows our customers to make large savings on their day-to-day heating bills and helping improve quality of life in general.
As an underfloor heating system requires a lower input temperature than radiators, this leads to massive savings on energy bills which everyone can appreciate, especially in the colder months. This is due to the fact that radiator systems require input temperatures of 70-80°C whilst UFH systems run at a comparatively low 35°C.
A lot less heat is lost in an UFH system as the heat rises across the entire floor creating a nice even heat throughout the room, whereas a large percentage of heat is lost from radiators at one side of the room. This means there are NO cold spots or ‘chilly corners’ of the room.
Not only does this help financially with the bills, it can also help increase the value of the customer’s property. Without any radiators on the walls, which can be aesthetically ‘unpleasant’, it can also make the room appear much larger.
